This cache has been renamed from "Todd's Geocache" to "Frisco Greenway Trail Cache"
This is the first cache I have hidden. It is also the first one in Joplin.
There is a good parking area for this cache located at N37° 06.73' W094° 29.63' on St. Louis street. When starting from the parking area head west on the trail until you get to the creek. Once there turn right down the hill (off the Frisco Greenway Trail) and follow the trail/GPS from there.
The cache itself is in a plastic jug 9 inches deep with a lid 4 inches in diameter.
When I hid it I put a mini frisbee, hat, sunglasses, bottle rockets, pulling fireworks, and log supplies inside.
The cache is .7 miles from the parking area. Most of the trail there used to be a rail road, the rest was built by Mountain Bikers. The cache is hidden in an area that Ozark Christian Collage uses sometimes for a program called "Life Force" It has tire swings, tight ropes, ect. out there to play on.
Usually when I bike out in these woods, i see more deer than people. I have also seen wild turkey in this area. If you up for some adventure, cross the creek at the burned bridge, and explore some of the trails on the right side of the trail about a quarter mile down.
One more thing, there is a very dense tree cover in the cache area that really plays with you GPS numbers.
