Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache and not suitable for trading items. It does have a log page and a small pencil.

In 2007 Scouting is 100 years old, which will be commemorated by the World Jamboree to be held in England in August this year. Lord Baden Powell started the concept of Scouting during the Boer war at the siege of Mafekeng when he used boys to relay messages. The Robin Hills hall was built in 1984 from money raised by the parent committee at the time. The Troop consists of about 30 Cubs and 30 Scouts with 9 adult leaders. Both the Cub and Scout groups are mixed i.e. boys and girls (girls were only introduced in 2000). They meet on Friday evenings so if you do the cache then, pop in and say hello - I (father part of Robin Hills) will more than likely be there as I am the Group Scouter.
This is the first in a series of Scouting caches. The names for these caches come from the names of the animals in The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling which is used extensively in the Cub program.
