Coulee Birding Series 3---Little Birders Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Trekkin' and birdin': Trekkin' says, "Enough is enough!" It's a fun spot for a hide, but it gets old fixing the recurring problems. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Take a kid birding! This cache was placed to encourage the love of birds and birding in children. Some of the birds here are challenging to spot, but there are also herons, ducks, geese and sometimes even eagles that make for instant gratification. In late springtime, there may even be goslings and ducklings toddling along the trails!

Birds have fascinated people forever. They sing! They fly! They're often colorful! Some are big, like the Bald Eagle, and some are tiny, like the incredible Ruby Throated Hummingbird. Children may not know the names of all the different birds; they might even make up their own names for them, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that their interest now may lead them as adults to care about the world we share with birds and other animals. This cache is a special one in the Coulee Birding Series we've planted. In this cache you'll find the usual trading goods, but there is a special First to Find prize, with a twist. For the first elementary aged child or younger to actually help find this cache, there is a pair of Audubon 4x30 children's binoculars. Other items of interest to budding naturalists are included as well. Please trade even, up or just sign the log so those who come later will have fun choices, too.
