Hadsell Road Memories Traditional Cache

     This cache is a little more difficult than a park 'n grab but not much. If you have a high clearance vehicle, you can drive quite close. If you are in your family vehicle or you are a trucker, it is a .15 mile hike from the Interstate exit ramp. The container is a ammo can hidden amongst the rocks and you have a lovely view of the Union Pacific mainline, the south country and also cars and trucks passing by on the Interstate. Take some time to enjoy the view. This is an interesting rock formation, plentiful in this area. I worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for just a few months short of 20 years and although I don't miss many aspects of the job, I do have fond memories of this area and riding trains in general. I cannot tell you how many times I have passed through the cut in the hillside located just a few hundred feet from this spot. When I was headed west, I was leaving my home terminal and would be gone for 24 - 36 hours. If I was headed east, I was usually only minutes from being home and I was always happy about that. I hope you enjoy this cache but be aware that snakes may be present and cactus is plentiful so watch where you step for more than one reason. Please hide the cache as well as you found it.
