Geocache Description:

The cache is located 140 metres from the Mt Dale campsite on the Bibbulmun Track.  This is a WALK IN ONLY cache.  Please DO NOT DRIVE in this area. It is both DRA (Disease Risk Area) and potentially stressful to walkers (vehicles often equate to trouble at campsites).

When trading items please consider trading up or trading even and leaving items that you would want to find. Trackables (geocoins and travel bugs) are not tradeable items. Please feel free take them without making a trade, but please leave a note in your log and do log them online.

The cache is a large ammo can located about 140 metres from the Mt Dale Campsite.  It contains the usual array of items - logbook, pencil, pencil sharpener and assorted new swaps.

Mt Dale Campsite is the sixth campsite heading south on the Bibbulmun Track. It is an easy 2.5 km walk (just follow the Bibbulmun Track markers) from the nearest car-parking point on Mt Dale Road (see coordinates). It is a really nice walk amongst the jarrah which takes about an hour return.  For those interested the opportunity is there to camp. The campsite has a water tank (if not camping please bring your own water), picnic table, three side shelter, toilet, tent sites and a fire ring. Sheer luxury! Just don't forget the loo paper!

Driving on the Bibbulmun Track and in the area of this cache is not allowed.  This is a disease risk area and driving, particularly in winter, is believed to contribute to the spreading of dieback.  Also vehicles near campsites are, sadly becoming associated with anti-social behaviour. So please be considerate and don't spoil the experience of others by driving near the campsite, instead Take 30 and have a fun walk.

If you wish to make any comments please post a log or email me. Please log your find in the cache and on Geocaching.com. Please no hints or multiple logs, but please do leave a photo or two. Phone a friend is allowed, but hopefully not required.
