Located just off the Old Highway, an old Roman road where Roman
coins have been found over the years, lies this tranquil woodland,
Upper Dingle.
The Upper Dingle has been transformed by the Conwy Countryside
Service (I remember playing in here as a kid with it all overgrown
as wasteground) with paths and benches and places to stop and just
watch time and nature go by. Trees varying from the mighty oak,
sycamore, holly and beech, plants such as bluebells and lesser
celandine and you maybe lucky to spot a woodpecker or two.
Nearest parking is located at N53 17.396 W3 43.140 from where
you can cross the road and walk down to the site entrance at N53
17.343 W3 43.182. Then you can take either path (it goes in a big
circle) to head towards the cache.
The cache is hidden in a camo bag and the foliage from the trees
will make it tricky to locate. A top tip would be to search on the
INSIDE of the path routes. I've averaged out five separate readings
so best of luck!
