One of three caches hidden in Western Hills Park, a small park in San Diego's Bay Park neighborhood.
4 July 2008: Old container retrieved and replaced by a decon container hanging in a bush well away from any possibility of poison oak. I averaged 150 readings to get the new coordinates. I have no idea why folks had such a hard time finding the old container, but it will be easier now. (I located the old one in about five seconds right where it was supposed to be.) Difficulty has been adjusted downward accordingly.
Initial contents of new container: Log book, two pencils, two geocoins, a smashed penny from Sequoia National Park, an origami-folded Where's George bill, and a few Thai coins.
The new container has been moved to a spot further away from heavily used portions of the park; however, as with any neighborhood park area, discretion is necessary.
