Harthorpe Burn is a picturesque valley in the shadow of the Cheviot.
Parking is available alongside Harthope Burn at; although the road continues further west there aren't any parking areas. The terrain is a mix of track, trail and mud. If you are considering using this as a route up to/down from the Cheviot there is plenty of Burn 'hopping' to be done as you travel through the valley. Just downstream from the cache is a small waterfall and a good spot for a picnic. Please ensure that the cache is adequately covered as it is very close to the trail.
Note: if heading straight from the car parking area to the cache there is a sign on a gate stating 'Private Road', of course this doesn't restrict your on-foot access
