Geocache Description:

Although not far from the road this cache can take you onto some fairly steep ground if you do not read the terrain well. Head off to the left when you have climbed up to the old track, this takes you to a gate in the new deer fence. Hill walking boots advised. Take care as there is some very steep ground around this cache. Park at the small clearing in the trees at N 57 31.500 W 005 36.939

Cache is in a decon. container and contains a log sheet, ftf certificate and a few goodies including an NTS collectable coin, micro torch keyring, Greenpeace badge and other wonders! There are great views of the surrounding mountains and sea loch. The area is a great place for geologists and wildlife enthusiasts. If you rock climb take your rock shoes for some fun bouldering. You will have this place to yourself. We discovered this area when we were into diving - used to snorkel in the sea around here and started exploring the hills. Most people stick to nearby Glen Torridon for hill walking, not surprising really, but we have always enjoyed this area and over the past twenty five years have never met another person exploring this place! Hope to meet you there sometime. This cache is dedicated to J Havelock Fidler and his wife who both explored and loved this area.
