The small plastic cache container is just large enough to hold a
few small swag items.
Located high on the cliff path between Wallog and Borth this
location provides amazing views out over Cardigan Bay. Pick a sunny
day and watch the world go by below you. if you are lucky you may
see seals, dolphins and porpoises from this high vantage point and
you will almost certainly sea plenty of bird life.
During the walk along the cliff path you will also have views of
Harp Rock (Craig y Delyn). I originally wanted to hide a cache at
the base of this rock which would have been accessible along the
rocky shore at low tide, but decided it was a little too dangerous
down there due to falling rocks so decided against it. I'm sure you
won't mind though as the views from up here are stunning.
The hiding place is just off the actual coast path but is
clearly visible (and fairly obvious) from the path itself
There are some steep and very high cliffs along this stretch of
coast path so take care.
I recommend approaching either from Wallog or from Borth. Better
still is to make the walk from Borth all the way along the coast
path to Clarach, taking in the various caches along the way:
- Grandpa's Bench in Borth,
- Wennol I see you again between Borth and
Aberwennol.
- This cache
- Sarn Cynfelyn between Wallog and Clarach.
If you time it right you could even walk back along the
shoreline making sure not to get cut off by the tide.
Happy Hunting
