Geocache Description:

In keeping with the 2007 program theme of “trees” each cache will highlight a specific native tree and introduce you to an insect disease associated with it. The third cache of 2007 is located Whitlam Woods on Pearl Rd. in Hambden Township.

The hemlocks play havoc with the GPS so geocachers may want to take the riddle with them!

Overlook Trail is where you must head,
Right on Bridge the clue next read.
Cross the bridge if you dare,
Then proceed up the many stair.
At the top you’ll make a right,
Until the next trail you will sight.
Take the Sugarbush to the left,
Beware the mud when it is wet.
A hemlock grove is what you seek,
Along the ridge, above the creek.
Past the bench you must proceed,
To a large downed cherry you must heed.
Follow the cherry to the evergreen trees,
Down low is where the cache will be.

This cache expires January 1st 2008.
