Have you ever wondered how to get from say Hicksville to Wayne or from Antrim to Holloway? If you’re like me, you wouldn’t have a clue. Looking at a state map doesn’t help much either because the print is so small I can’t read it.

So on my new SUV I have this sophisticated Turn-by-Turn Navigation System.

When I bought it, I thought it would really be cool to use in conjunction with my Garmin GPS when I’m out caching.

After I did a little research I found there are some equipment incompatibilities and I think I may need to switch to a TomTom (no that‘s not an American Indian drum) .

I believed this technology would virtually eliminate making wrong turns and heading down dead end streets in my quest for more finds. Of course, I could use the radio to guide me. If I did and still got lost or turned around, I’d at least have some good tunes to soothe my nerves and help prevent cache rage.

Well focusing on the real issue of On Star, there must be a dataglyph in the software.

(Puzzle update note 1/5/09--PARC, the dataglyph software site, no longer has the applet available for users. So you can ignore this part of the puzzle since the solution is hidden elsewhere)

When I make my on screen selection for the next cache, I get the following screen display which seems utterly useless to me.

Perhaps one of the Greater Cincinnati cachers, who knows their way around navigation software, can decipher it and tell me where to go.
