Geocache Description:

Elton Reservoir is 56 acres in area and best known for fishing and sailing.

The reservoir, rather than a water supply, serves as a feeder for the Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal which is in the process of being partially restored.

Elton Sailing Club [which also incorporates Bury Angling Association] owns the Sailing and Angling rights to the Reservoir.

The walk is about 2.5 miles,,
