The views from this ridge are great, although the day I was
there it was quite hazy. I can only imagine how incredible it can
be on a "severe clear" Santa Ana day. To the west, I could see down
into a valley with big oak trees. I believe it is called Clark
Canyon.
This is a hike of approximately three miles with an elevation
gain of almost 500 feet. Take plenty of water in the hot months,
and keep an eye out for snakes. You are looking for an ammo
can.
The trail to this cache starts off Oak Creek Dr. at N 32° 53.440
W 116° 57.46 in the Eucalyptus Hills area of Santee. I've included
an additional waypoint for a place you can park.
