Geocache Description:

Memorial Cache for our Geohound. Stage 1 is a micro with coords to final.

Sasha's Memorial Cache

After a hard fought battle against renal failure, we finally had to make a decision release Sasha from her pain. A faithful companion of many adventures we laid her to rest in September of 2006. Sasha was taken from us much too young. She loved coming to this and many other parks in Delta. Her final day was spent with us here, nice sunny September afternoon having a picnic, playing with the kids and enjoying each other's company.

This is also the starting point for our Sasha Travel Bug. The cache is a short multi, the initial waypoint a cammo'd micro, shouldn't be too difficult if you know my style.  The final is a ammunition can painted to blend in, not too far off the beaten path.  Please replace it as found, both the micro and the final.  Be aware that this is an extremely popular area for muggles and geo-hounds alike and they can sneak up on your quite easily.

There is a fairly private area nearby once you find the final for you to peruse through the cache contents.  I have themed it as a canine type cache, loaded with dog stuff. Would love to keep to the theme, but understand if you don't have geo-hound stuff.  Since park maintenance is quite regular, be sure to replace the final far enough out of sight that a curious GVRD Parks board worker doesn't find it.  There is no real FTF prize for this cache, partially because it is a memorial cache and partially because I have been in a little rush to finish it, a fellow local cacher was hoping to add it to her list of finds before she moves from the area.  Even if the Sasha TB is gone, feel free to post pictures of your geo-hound at the cache site or where ever with your log.

Happy hunting,

Team ((Echo))
