Lake Serene is at the base of the cliffs of Mt. Index. It is a tough but beautiful hike to an alpine lake in the foothills of the Cascades. Well worth the effort.
The cache container is an ammo box on the far side of the lake full of all sorts of little treasures and sign-in book.
