Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the woods at Camillus Park. While here enjoy a dip in either the main pool or wading/kiddie pool, a picnic, or just relax on a bench enjoying nature! I've seen deer, hawks, many squirrels, pileated woodpeckers, and many other creatures here on the extensive trail system. Who would've thought this nice patch of woods would be in the middle of suburbia?! [:)] ENJOY!
Hours are sunrise to sunset - with the pools open seasonally.
THIS IS A NO TRADE REQUIRED CACHE!

"Soldiers In Our Hearts 3" was not the original name I came up with for this cache - it was originally going to be called:

"Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy and Marines"

BUT....It wouldn't fit! Plus, the more I thought about it - this dedication type cache shouldn't just be limited to military personnel - but all professions that help people everyday! Especially after a recent 'vacation' in the local ER!

This cache is your typical, size 30 medication bottle, camoflauged, and labeled with the Geocaching Label - and of course contains your usual logbook, please bring a pen(cil)as it was a tight squeeze to get everything in. The main part of the cache are what I'd like to call "GEOglass". Some people call them "worry stones", "rememberance glass", "dedication stones", or just plain "my polished piece of lucky glass"! There are 30+ polished, and dedicated pieces of "glass globs" - that are small enough to keep in your pocket, purse, backpack, whatever - some people rub them, carry them all the time, pray over them, or use them to remember a loved one overseas or away from home. If you 'care to share' tell us about any meanings you may have for the 'stone' - though not required...
There are actually three "Soldiers...." caches as they have been so popular with folks...Two are in NY, and one in CA (where I spend alot of time due to my position, and is watched over by team-mates on the left coast BTW) - they all have a different object to collect, based on local items...

Please take one per person to show your dedication to the men and women not only fighting for our country here and abroad; but also for the "unsung heros" that are out there everyday making our lives better, safer, and healthier (EMS, Police, Fire, Doctors, Nurses, etc. The list goes on forever....). Every time you look at your glass piece - remember the people out there that help us on a day to day basis!
If you know someone that is either in the military or in a profession that is like those described - grab one for them as well - who knows, not only will it be appreciated, but you may just turn them on to Geocaching as well!

The cache has been made fairly simple to reach - park in the main lot, and hit the trail! You're looking for a tree on a knoll with a peculiar base, and the container is covered by........(see hints if you must ) As you follow the paths - you will notice the co-ords bounce around a bit - but thinking like a cacher will score you the prize!

The cache is winter accessable, and will be fairly easy in the snow as snowmobilers and ATV riders frequent the trails - so the snow will be packed down!

Please beaware of muggles - especially in the summertime as this is quite a popular park, and please hide it as found!!! Thank You!

DO NOT CACHE AT NIGHT AS THE POLICE FREQUENTLY PATROL THIS AREA AND YOU WILL BE CITED!

One word of caution - be careful if you go on a wet day, as there are a few loose rocks that are covered by leaves - and I'd hate to see anyone get injured. Using common sense is your best bet as always!

From car to cache should be about 15 minutes maximum, unless of course you jump in the pools!
Please sign the logbook, and log online so we can know how many "stones" are left so we can replenish them - we will check frequently as we live nearby, but this will just help everyone!

Let me know if co-ords are off - they were taken on two consecutive days - but bounce around a bit - longitude is dead on, latitude is averaged out. Please replace, and cover exactly as found - Thanks!

Now get out there and find it before the 3 H's of Summer arrive!
AND....THE FTF goes to...hubbye and bullsyeye1 (in the 'control room')...CONGRATS!!!
***Please note - this cache in no way means to be any sort of 'political statement' - so please do not think of it in that way***
