and enjoy!
Take a DETOUR off of the Prairie Path and visit The
Great Western Trail.
This short path runs parallel to the Prairie Path and is
considered the "oldest living thing" in Elmhurst! What is it?
Native Prairie plants which have almost become extinct. Once they
flourished in the midwest; now only one-tenth of one percent in
Illinois has these native plants growing. Pick up a brochure in one
of the posts along the path to learn about the different
plants.
