Geocache Description:

A hike down an overgrown trail and a creek.

This cache is a companion cache to The Smoking Gunn (GC13QMB). You can climb back out the trail and proceed to the other trail to get to TSG, or you could just walk down the creek (in the water). We recommend hiking down the creek and enjoying the journey.

There is a steep path down to the creek, which is why we suggest kids 7+ only, unless you are willing to assist them down. Once in the creek bed it is an easy walk in the creek down to the cache. Water shoes highly recommended. The best way to do these caches with small kids would be to go to The Smoking Gunn first (easy trail walk) and hike up the creek and back to get Stun Gunn. That avoids the steep portion of overgrown trail. Creek is very shallow!(when there hasn't been a major rainstorm)

Enter from Lyth Park at the end of dead end Lyth Road (off Willet). You will see the trails. There is playground equipment and a picnic bench. Hours are sunup to sundown, so no night caching. BYO-Pen.

CONGRATS to dlkempf on the FTF! After a rainstorm no less!
