-CLUE-

Atop the summit of this wintertime playland I stood gazing down upon the city below. I took in the view for a moment pondering all those people below living their lives oblivious to the secrets that are so close yet hidden from their sight. This is where I started to contemplate where I would make my hide.

My gaze turned toward the setting sun and there I spied a trail that I had never known before. With curiosity I followed the well worn path into the woods. Down the steep trail I followed amazed at the beauty I had discovered here. I continued until I could go down no more and the trail had reached it's end. Here the trail met with another and I was forced to make a decision.

First I went left until I came to a slope with the city street high above. This area was so cluttered I couldn't believe that anyone could do this to such a wonderful place. So I changed my mind and turned around to see what I could find the other way.

After a short walk I came to a large flat clearing that had recently been mowed. At the edge of this field I turned and followed a different trail as it sloped up toward the sky. I walked until I was under the branches of a mighty Red Oak. Looking through the underbrush the huge trunk of this ancient tree seemed to form a "V." Again I felt the need to investigate. To my surprise this tree had 5 mighty columns reaching high to into the evening sky. "Here I will make my hide" I thought, "But where?" The tree looks too inviting for a passing child to not want to play on it or build a fort inside. I looked up and saw a branch cold and dead reaching out as if to try and grab the light of the sun at dawn. I followed this branch and found a place just beyond the skeletons grasp.

Here I made my hide, and I hoped that others come and appreciate this wonderful place as much as I did today.
