Geocache Description:

This cache is on a bicycle trail and near a public road. It's a 1-gallon clear storage container with a camo lid. There isn't much cover. Please hide it at least as well as when you found it. This is a themed cache (love and relationships) in honor of my girlfriend's birthday. Although it is a stand-alone cache, it contains hints to a central Florida regional multi-cache puzzle if you're up for the challenge. More details are in the long description below.

Long Description: The theme of this cache is love and relationships. It is also part of the first stage of a multi-cache puzzle. I have hidden this series of caches as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend. On her birthday the final cache (Lady Katie's Birthday Cache - K&R #7) will contain her birthday gift (an engagement ring) and coordinates to the restaurant where we'll share dinner as she opens it. I am proposing to her that evening, which is why I've chosen the relationship theme.

I need your help! Please visit this cache (and others in the series if you like) and leave items that somehow signify love and relationships to you. The items in the cache when I placed it are a silver photo frame, a miniature Bride & Groom wedding cake topper, a stylish 4x6 photo album, a Travel Bug book entitled "On the Wings of Eros" and a Travel Bug book entitled "Married for Life." I've also added a "FTF!" smiley face button for the couple who find the cache first.

This cache is just outside a nature preserve with BEAUTIFUL hiking trails and a boardwalk to Lake Apopka. The nature preserve is free to enter, and I highly encourage you to explore it. The sunsets over the lake are spectacular! Just be sure to exit the park 30 minutes before sunset.

The following pertains only to those seeking to solve the multi-cache puzzle and find the birthday cache: If you want the challenge of visiting caches in Orange and Lake Counties in search of the final "Birthday Cache" just remember to write down the answer to the question on the clue sheet inside the cache lid. The cache is just outside a nature preserve, and the clue will require you to hike the trails to find the answer. That will raise the terrain difficulty a notch (to 2.5 or 3), as the nature trail is not paved. If you bicycle to this cache location, you will want to bring a lock to secure your bike so you can walk the trails inside the preserve. The nature preserve also features a beautiful 2/3 mile boardwalk through the wetlands to the shore of Lake Apopka. It's WELL WORTH the walk, even if you don't want to find the answer to the clue.

Please visit "GC13TZ9 - Lady Katie's Birthday Cache (K&R #7)" and read this description carefully before setting off to solve this as a multi-cache puzzle. You should allow yourself two days to find enough clues from the six preliminary caches to locate the start point for the final stage of the multi-cache. At least two of these preliminary caches are only accessible by boat, and they're spread over a two county area.
