CHAMPION MINE #4 Traditional Cache
-allenite-: As there's been no response from the cache owner to my previous note, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

This cache is located at Champion Mine #4 in Painesdale Mi. Its an easy cache, and you can basically drive right up to it.
This cache is the first cache in Painesdale Michigan. This town has a lot of history behind it from the mining days, where many mine shafts used to exist. This is the only one still standing. I've lived in the mine captains house for a half year, and figured its time to put a cache up in one of the few standing mines in the Copper Country. The container you are seeking is a vitamin bottle, about an inch and a half in diameter, and 4 to 5 inches tall with a yellow cap. You can basically drive right up to it. It is started with a log book and pencil, nothing else.
Directions: Drive on M-26 to the end of Painesdale, take a left on Hubbard Ave which is located on a sharp corner just on the edge of town. Drive down the hill, and take a left on Shaft Road. You will see the mine. Park your car on the side of the road next to the mine, and you shouldn't have any problems.
