I got an email a couple weeks ago from a cacher pointing out
that this attraction is no longer closed, nor is it home to a flea
market. It is not an A-Zoo-Ment park. I have no idea what that is,
but it's no longer Santa's Village, so therefore the DGB status
remains unaffected. Who knows, maybe new life is being breathed
into the park.
Anyway, new cache container, new location. I had no problem
driving up to the location on a Sunday afternoon. If anyone finds
this difficult, please let me know. Hint is still a give away, so
use discretion.
Original description below:
This B-class attraction sadly closed down last year, because its
second-rate rides and waterpark couldn't compete with Six Flags and
nearby water parks. But its homey service, shows, petting zoo and
other attractions for the under 7 crowd couldn't be matched, and
kept us coming back.
Stop in and sign the log and wave goodbye to a Chicagoland icon
from the parking lot. Do not go inside for a last look around;
sadly, visitors are no longer welcome.
Cache is easy to find. Hint is a dead giveaway if you need it or
if there is a suspected muggling.
Happily adopted by --MGb on 10/27/09 and added to the
