Geocache Description:

I was recently shopping at a local nursery for some plants, veggies, annuals. As I walked by the section which had berry bushes, I was amazed to see some blackberry bushes for sale. Is it possible that someone living in Whatcom County would actually PURCHASE a blackberry bush? They’re everywhere!

Ag is a series of caches to show off some of the great agriculture available near Ferndale, WA. There are caches hidden at berry farms, orchards, cheese farms, and flower farms.

The cache is in a small container with a screw-top lid. Pls screw on tight when closing. This cache has been stocked with agriculture related items for trading (think plastic toy farm animals, tractors, etc.). We’re organic – so travel bugs are always welcome!

This cache has been muggled several times. Pls be sure to re-hide with natural chamo as well as possible.

Whatcom County Agriculture Trivia…
Himalayan blackberry, evergreen (or cut-leaf) blackberry, and trailing (or wild) blackberry are the 3 common blackberries in Whatcom County.
Of these, only one, trailing blackberry, is native. The other 2 are both introduced plants, which have become aggressive weeds here. However, neither are on the WA State Noxious Weed List.
