From 1955 till 1979 this was the site of the Oswego Dragway. It is said that this was possibly the first drag strip in the United states.
Some well known drivers at Oswego included Chris “The Greek” Karamesines and “Big Daddy” Don Garlits.
The area is currently undergoing a tranformation. The spot where the cache is placed should be staying intact. Please post a note if it seems like this is not the case.
