Geocache Description:

The second in the series of Parkland Roads caches is an easy rural drive-up cache with lots of bird and wildlife viewing possibilities.

This is a pleasant drive on a secondary highway east of Blackfalds with a number of other diversions. If you approach the cache from the west, watch for a small wooden train trestle, a campground/picnic area with a view of two converging rivers and a deep and beautiful ravine. The wooded landscape along the route means that you should watch out for wildlife on the road. The many fencepost birdhouses attract a variety of birds in the summer, including bluebirds which we spotted while placing the cache.

Please practice “Lift, Look and Replace” while hunting and rehide the cache exactly as found to maintain the quality of the hunt for the next person.

Enjoy your journey and the hunt!
