A 11 kms there and back return walk over open moorland.
Park car at Old Glossop near Firth Rixson works SK 0458.4983. Follow the track heading east until you arrive at the first gate. Take the gate on the left and head up Lightside and follow the path to 'Dog Rock' (another of my caches) and then head over the moors toward The Wain Stones.
The cache is hidden in a small rocky area to the west of the Bleaklow cairn/post. The cache is about the only spot for a coffee in bad weather. There are good views to the north on a clear day !
