Geocache Description:

HEAR YE!! HEAR YE!! Come on out and say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. Join the Geocachers Of The Central Harrisburg Area as we get together to celebrate anything and everything. You don't have to be a GOTCHA member to help us celebrate.

The coords will take you to the large pavillion in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park. This park is huge with lots of non-stopfun........horseshoes, basketball, soccer, shuffleboard,softball/kickball/wiffleball and tennis in addition to a huge playground for the kids. There is also a POOL if you want to swim. BUT, there is, however, a charge if your not a member. Plus, plenty of trails for hiking/biking and, of course, caching. Dogs are allowed....but they have to be leashed while in the park.

The days events will start at 10am and go till the last cacher is standing. Lunch will start at 12noon with dogs, buns and condiments being provided. If you would like some type of meat, besides dogs, please bring it along. There should be plenty of room on the grill!! Please plan to bring something to share with the rest of the crew.....email me with your specifics and I'll post the list here as it comes in.

There should be plenty of caches to find in the park (they will published the day of with info provided at the picnic) as well as the surrounding area. The number of active hiders in the general vicinity provide adventure for anyone's fancy. NO CACHER LEFT BEHIND!!

As I get more specifics I'll post them here for your information. Hopefully we'll have a TON of giveaways so everyone goes home with a few new "smilies" as well as some loot.

About 30 companies have provided "A LOT OF SWAG" that will be givenaway as door prizes. The swag includes, but is not limited to, a handheld GPSr, a GPSr Unit for a vehicle, t-shirts, hats and a ton of GeoCoins!!!

Hopefully everyone had enough to eat, enough caches to find and some way to stay cool!!! I want to thank everyone for the help, especially MRS. PAT, and most of all, everyone for showing up. Look forward to doing this again next year. Thanks again!!!
