Yea Olde Stomping Ground FOUND - Redux Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

-Rusty-: Greetings,

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Thank you,

Rusty...

Geocache Description:

This is being placed as a tribute to one of my fav's in Hines Park. FTF was raffled off at our event held on 7-14-07.

We walk our dog in Hines Park, from Nankin Mills down to the dog park and back. Every time I went down the right trail it was kind of cool knowing that the original Yea Olde Stomping Ground FOUND was hanging out there - like a little secret only us cachers shared.

Well when Team Lyon archived this just before our first-ever event being held in Hines at the Riverside pavilion, I was bummed. But, with Team Lyon's blessing, I'm putting this one back out in basically the same spot...reviving it so-to-speak.

Update 30MAR2008: Just so everyone is at least warned, the trail that this is on was once very hidden. However the county sheriff office now has placed a mounted division training area on the "field" side of the path. There are warnings posted to stay out of the area, and I would avoid it if they were actively training, just for safety-sake. However the trail is on the outside of the posted signs and as long as you stay out of their actual area it should be fine. I have had no complaints from anyone.

Just as a side note, I know that the box was found by the sheriffs at some point - it was obviously rooted out of it's original spot by horse traffic, but was placed there nicely (and safely) waiting for me to rehide instead of the typical muggled mess.

Congrats to NCC-1701Z for being the FTF :-D

Have fun :-D
