Geocache Description:

In 2007, the Rideau Canal celebrated its 175th anniversary and became an UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Any good fisherman knows that the canal is the home of many of the fish you can find in Ontario's lakes. This cache will help you learn about some of the fish that can be found and caught along the Rideau Canal system.

The coordinates will not bring you to the cache, but a sign that talks about the various fish in the Rideau Canal system. Read over the sign and answer the following questions. Use the answers to determine the real coordinates to the cache:

  • Average size of this fish who prefers warm, turbid waters and weedbeds: E lb.
