Indian Rock is a well-known spot on top of Mt. Emily. Indian Rock Lookout is located near Olive lake. All three are within 50 miles of my house and now all have a geocache as well.
Indian Rock trailhead appears off of hwy 7 on Union Creek Road 14 miles or so from Baker City. Look for the trail sign on the right (facing backwards). You'll love the short hike to the top, but probably won't care much for the squeeters and ticks you'll discover if you come without bug spray. Bring a camera so when you spot deer and elk you can share it with others. The view is a good one too. Scenic Sumpter Valley and Phillips Reservoir are always easy on the eyes. There's a couple goodies in store for the first couple finders too. But, you're gonna have to play by the rules:
1) To log the Moun10bike geocoin you need to be the first one to remove it from the cache and be willing to follow the rules below.
2) If you remove it from the cache, you then need to hide a new cache within 30 days that contains the Moun10Bike coin you removed. Name your cache, “My First Moun10Bike Coin #___”. For the number, just keep them chronological in order of caches created.
3) You may only log this coin if you have never logged a Moun10Bike coin before. If you’ve already logged a coin you can still log the cache, just not the coin. Let’s just get as many first-time loggers as we can.
4) Post these guidelines in your cache’s description.
Cache elevation is 4,800 feet.
