The Deadhorse trailhead is about 18 miles from the downtown
business district of Mountain View, Wyoming. Take the road toward
Robertson until you get to the turnoff for County Road 283
(Stateline Dam Road), which is about 7 miles out of town. Follow
this dirt road until you see the sign for the Deadhorse Trailhead.
In the summer this is a pleasant area to hike. Take the warmup loop
(not the main trail), until you get to the turnoff for the Ridge
Trail (on your left). Just follow the blue diamonds. Cache is about
30 minutes from the trailhead, if you're going at a leisurely pace.
Cache is a ammo can. Original contents are: PLU water bottle,
mousepad, Christmas ornament from Won Wyo! cache, chapstick
keychain, and some gum.
