Geocache Description:

A short walk on flat ground in a town and in a park. This is the first of a series of 10, which MUST be done in order. PLEASE READ THE UPDATE BELOW!!!

This is a series of caches on a prison escape theme. Although this is a puzzle cache, every cache you find will add to your cache total (if you are interested in numbers!)

LOCKS
Each cache is locked with a small combination padlock. Except for the first cache, each cache contains the lock combination for the next cache. So you must do all the series IN STRICT ORDER, or you will not be able to open the caches and get out of jail!

EQUIPMENT
Inside each cache is an item of prison escape equipment – with a number. DO NOT REMOVE THIS EQUIPMENT from the cache. You will need to keep a record of each equipment item and its number to get the true coordinates of the final cache. (Use the list below to keep a record)

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FIRST CACHE
Go to the car park at N 53 06.824 W 003 18.876 From here you can see the back of Ruthin Jail.

To get the three digit lock combination of the first cache, you have to answer the following questions:

1st Digit How many drainpipes are on the back wall of Ruthin Jail?
2nd and 3rd Digits How many barred windows are on the back wall of the building on the top floor? (check VERY carefully especially left hand side!)

Lock combination of first cache is ____ _____ _____

When you have got the lock combination, head for the cache coordinates above.

UPDATE
The original cache location is frequently overlooked by the juvenile offenders in their recreational skate park. if the coast is clear, hunt for the original No. 1. But if the juveniles are on guard; hunt for the alternative cache Number 1 (a micro). This is located 42m back from original coordinates, towards car park/park entrance. you will see a tree with a stripe of red paint beside the path (see spoiler). The micro is hidden in an ivy covered tree in a fork, one meter up off the ground, approximately 5 meters from the painted tree. The micro contains all the information you require for your escape attempt - the number of the equipment item and the combination for the lock of cache number 2. There is no log book to speed your getaway. Keep on running!

The lock combination of the second cache (info inside first cache) is: ______ ______ _______

EQUIPMENT LIST
