This cache is to spread the word about the Riverside Park Amphitheater in Rushville. The Amphitheater is a replica of one of the many covered bridges in Rush county that many of you have probably seen already. This venue is in its infancy but has hosted a number of well known groups to date. As a matter of fact, the day I placed this cache, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra was setting up for a free 4th of July concert and fireworks. It is a great addition to a small town and the concerts are usually free to the public. They have long range plans that we are hoping will turn this into a very popular location in the area. There is a new nature trail, shuttle service, vip tent and various vendors for both eating and drinking.
There are two tee shirts for the first two finders. The shirts advertise another Rushville tradition, the St. Paddy's party held the weekend before the "real" St. Paddys day so we can enjoy two parties....hey what can I say...we're Irish. Rolled in each are schedules for the series. You can also find it at rushvilleamphitheater.com.
This is noted as "I" since I plan on placing a more challenging cache here as soon as I receive some supplies in the mail.
Bring your lawn chair and picnic basket and come to a great venue and watch a free concert with us sometime soon.
