When Storm104 and I set up/validated "Coining A Tradition"
(GCY27T), we noticed on the next ridge up what appeared to be a
cave. Well after the grueling task of Coining A Tradition, we were
in no mood to investigate. Well, its been a year later and now
there is a cache there!
Being a WWII history buff, and inspired from the HBO mini-series
"Band Of Brothers", I felt that I would give this cache a name
fitting its solitude on a mountainside overlooking the nearby town
of Mountain Home.
If you know your history, you might have heard it called "The
Eagles Nest". This was a mountain hide-away that was giving to
Adolf Hitler for his 50th birthday. The real "Eagles Nest" is
located near Berchtesgaden, Germany.
The allied bombing and battles of World War II left building
intact and today the Eagle's Nest remains in its original state. In
the years after the war, the Eagle's Nest and the surrounding area
of Berchtesgaden remained a part of US Armed Forces property in
southeastern Germany. The US military set up a recreation center
where servicemembers could hike in the summer and ski in the
winter. The US military returned the area to Germany in the 1990s.
If you ever go to Germany, you can still take tours to the nest.

There is a FTF prize in here. A bag of marbles, because whoever
finds this cache, must have lost theirs!
