The Ledge Pond Lot is a Sunapee Town Forest. This is a nice place for a woods and pond walk-about. Park at the end of Meadow Brk Rd off of Prospect Hill Rd. Bear left above the gate, and pick up a well-used snowmobile trail. Follow this trail right to the shores of the pond. After enjoying the pond view, pick up a less well defined, meandering trail to the cache site.
You can continue along this trail then hang a left on a spur trail that takes you to the perfect 'lunch on the ledge by the shore' lunch spot.
On this morning's jaunt, we heard a loon, spooked a deer, and saw moose prints that were nearly as large as the better half's size 6 1/2 hiking shoe.
Please replace the cache so its location is not obvious, but without a lot of 'cache cover'.
