Gone Fishin' Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Silly Gilley: I spoke to the business owner who promised me they would maintain it when I called. They said they contract out for the landscaping and the guys must have thrown it out. I will find a better spot nearby.

Geocache Description:

Off US-1, always thought the name of this place was funny. Small Pelican Case, clear top, black bottom.

This cache is for those fisherman or fisher women on their way to the keys. Inside you will find some great yellow tail lures which I will continue to replenish over time. Congratulations to CaneDNR and Jetblast for co-FTF honors! Feel free to leave something, but do not worry if you take a great lure sure to land some Lunker yellow tails and run. Let me know what you caught!

For those that were confused during this cache's first run: A "Yellow Tail" is a type of snapper (VERY delicious!). When it is dark, you get some chum going behind your boat while anchored. You drop the little yellow lure (with a piece of squid works best) into the chum line and free line your bait with the chum going back. BAM! They hit hard and run fast so be ready! If you do not fish, I left some small fish in there for you to take home! If you have kids with you, and go further South to the Keys, do the "Can We Take It Home" cache and hand one of these fish to them as a joke!
