You Tell Me? Third time’s the charm!
This third entry to the “You Tell Me?” series came to be from
more random searching as well as the prompting from a local that we
see when we are up at camp. When I was making the cache at the old
Stuyvesant Lighthouse, I had parked my car which he had noticed. We
started talking about the area and he asked if I had been to a few
different spots. It was ironic that I was just looking at this spot
AND he talked about it. It meant I was destined to add it to the
collection!
There is not much here to be seen but let your imagination roam
free and you might start having visions of the past. Be very
careful while exploring the area. There are holes, old bricks,
rusty items, etc. strewn about. There are also the railroad tracks
that you have to cross to get to the cache…be sure to look both
ways!!
If you happen to know what this place was in its heyday then
please post this in your log. I have had a couple of people that
have said it was an old ice house. My information tells me
otherwise. I do hope my source was correct, otherwise I owe a
ticket to Peter0224!
