Geocache Description:



This cache is the replacement for the old Hogback Mtn. cache that we adopted. We have made this a two-stage multi to help deter theft of the cache and contents.

The coordinates will take you to the summit of Hogback Mountain where you will find the coordinates for the final location of the container. This cache is mostly about the hike and the summit, but the final container is NOT on top of the mountain. Your journey will take you on a fairly well-blazed trail with many rocks and roots. Children often make the hike with their parents if that's any indication of what you are attempting. Plan on at least two hours for this cache. If parking at the Wetmore Landing parking area the trip will be 300' longer than the old Hogback cache (roughly four miles). If approaching from the backside the distance to the final stage will be considerably longer.
