A little detour... Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A nice easy cache to highlight a pretty part of the world Shelly works in.

The thing I love most about my job is discovering new parts of the countryside that I grew up in but never knew about. If I have a bit of time on my hands between station visits I will sometimes drive down roads just to see what's there. This is just an example of what you can find on casual detours.

There is a picnic table just by the creek and the road seems to be pretty quiet. This is Jacksons Creek, which begins up around where Adam grew up in Bullengarook and eventually flows into Deep Creek and the Maribyrnong River.

When looking at the spot on my fire maps, it is named as Black Hill bridge - which I imagine is because of the very black soil on the surrounding hills.

The cache itself is a 200ml container, only for lack of hiding spots for anything larger!

Hopefully this cache will encourage you to take time out from the rush for cache numbers and explore the back roads. You never know what little gems you might come across.
