Geocache Description:

M illions of years ago Guadalupe Canyon was buried under a continent of water. Now outside of the urban labyrinth is a place between here and Nirvana, a place nestled in the Sierra de Juarez Range. A remote oasis nestled into the embrace of palm groves, endless boulder filled canyons, and rejuvenating waters that bear an almost mystical quality. Spirits of a time long lost to antiquity whisper amongst the palms and their laughter mingles in the sounds of the cool cascading falls. Everything about this sanctuary seems familiar to us on our most basic level. The most harmonious fantasy that we could devise, would still pale in comparison to the sacred nature of this timeless realm.

S miling, we let loose our cares and fears into a bubbling natural hot spring, or explore the beauty of the canyons and ancestral etchings that surrounded us. There is something ancient about this sacred space. This peaceful oasis is a place within all of us where we can retreat to and become one again. Our own pool of bliss that eases mind and body while elevating the soul. A place that could have only existed in our imagination, our hope, or in tales long lost to antiquity.

A cross the vast miles and into another country, this serene sanctuary is calling. It is time to rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit. Stay in a shady palapa, lean back in a geothermal jacuzzi and watch the sun reddened mountains and forests of palms line the horizon and watch the sunset and the stars bloom. It is time to set aside inhibitions and realize that we already are the people that we want to be. It is time for us to again be awed by the beauty of this hallowed haven. The scenery is so spectacular it will make you drunk with joy.
