Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the trail by what we believe to be the Sulphur Spring. It is an easy walk to an extremely beautiful area. The easiest access across the water is the bridge over the road.

Placed with approval from Bedford Springs General manager.

The original construction on Bedford Springs Resort began in the 1790's. The resort was created near the seven mineral springs located on the property. The Sulphur Spring bubbles into the Trophy Trout stream known as Shober's Run. Vistors to the original hotel stayed in a 24-room inn catering to colonial travelers interesed in its mineral springs. Aaron Burr and his grandson were among the first guests. The hotel achieved luxury resort status in 1842.
