Geocache Description:

AHOY MATEYS! This is a multi-cache with 7 waypoints plus one bonus waypoint just for fun.
The cache should take 1.5 to 2 hours to find (can be done in 1 hour if you haul ass!).
The distance is 1.5 miles round trip. YO-HO-HO!

AVAST! AFTER 2 OR MORE DAYS OF HEAVY RAIN, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE!. PARTS OF THE TRAIL MAY BE FLOODED. AARRRRGH!!! FLOOD WATER IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS! DON'T BE A STUPID PIRATE!

Pay attention to the story along the way! Helpful clues are given at each stop.

FYI:
A. Well, blow me down! Park on the west side of the road (Menomonee River Parkway), between Mount Mary College and Center St. Look for a fallen tree.

B. Shiver me timbers! Waypoint 4 is in a clearing that has some poison ivy, so wear shoes and do not roll around on the ground. The poison ivy is easy to spot and easy to avoid. Look for a little trail into the clearing. AYE, this is actually a good place to show the lads and lassies what poison ivy looks like! This is also a good spot to find mud and animal tracks.

C. Be hearty! Waypoints 1 and 6 involve a little climbing (the coordinated use of all 4 limbs) that anyone over the age of 7 could do. AARRGH, even landlubbers can do it! Only one person in the group needs to do the climbs, though.

D. Bushwhacking is not necessary but, AYE, swashbuckling is encouraged!

E. Arrrgh! If you did not grow up in Milwaukee, there may be a bit of a language barrier. You shouldn't need a phrase book, though.

F. Blimey! In case the pirates get a little carried away, the site is 1.5 miles from a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Recommended equipment: shoes, paper and pencil, a good imagination and a plastic bag (for cache-in, trash and garlic mustard-out). So far this year, the bugs have not been a problem. It's always a good idea, though, to bring along some repellant in case they're having a bad day.

Hints: The encryted messages contain details about the cache containers.
Now heave ho mates!
