The Crystal Lake trailhead can be found at Lake George, on the northwest corner of the day use parking lot.
The moderate trail follows a series of switchbacks up to Crystal Lake and there are several great vista points along the way. You may even see a few of our local furbearers, including chipmunks, rabbits, marmots, coyote, deer and black bear, but please don't feed them.

Once at the lake, follow your GPSr up a granite hill to the east and look for a lone four foot high object. You will find the cache there. It's hidden in a large ammo can and inside, you will find a logbook and pen, plus several cool items for your fair trading pleasure.
