Single stage cache located near the Escanaba River. Can drive to within 200' of cache. PLEASE NOTE: the first gate has been left open to allow accress to the public fishing site. At the second gate take the RIGHT road toward the water.
This is a relisting of original Escanaba River Portage. First cache was Archived before it could be Adopted. Cache is a Peanut butter jar painted brown. Contains a new log book, key ring, and a lotto ticket for the first finder.
Take something, leave something. Hope you enjoy this public access site. You will see LOTS of NO TRESPASSING signs on the east side of the road. It is OK to stay ON the road. As noted above, at the 'Y' in the road KEEP RIGHT towards the river. The road to the left is private and reports are that the gate can get locked behind you.
