What business does an Iowan have placing a cache in Estes Park, CO?
Well, my name is "Summitt Dweller". 8^)
Actually, reason for this cache is that I just loaded my
sister-in-law's GPS with coordinates for a 19-mile RMNP hike over
the continental divide. I figured she should get more use from the
GPS than just that one walk in the woods.
This cache is placed with permission of the property owner and
it's very close to US 36. My brother Ron and his wife Lucy
manage the property here and live on-site so they'll maintain the
cache for me. If you see an "old man" out prepping the pool around
9 AM or 9 PM give a holler and say hello...that's probably Ron.
There's room to pull off the south side of the highway here
within a few feet of the cache. Please just be careful doing
so and don't park for long or enter the property driveway unless
you have a reservation or want to make one. Cache is an ammo
can (reports are it can be hard to open) suitable for trading items
and travel bugs. Please cover it well when you are done.
Note that this cache may be wheelchair accessible but perhaps not.
Consequently, I have bumped the terrain rating up to 1.5 so as not
to mislead anyone.
