Geocache Description:

MUSICAL GENIUS

Another one in our series of Classical Composer caches.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was not only one of the greatest composers of the Classical period, but one of the greatest of all time. Mozart's best music has a natural flow and irresistible charm, and can express humour, joy or sorrow with both conviction and mastery. His operas, especially his later efforts, are brilliant examples of high art, as are many of his piano concertos and later symphonies. His father Leopold was himself a musician and composer who taught the young Mozart at a very early age but was often criticized for being an overprotective and exploitative parent.
