Error was + or - 18ft when placed. Park just off Broad Road, in
Baseball field parking Lot. Cache contains: Darth Vader Peze, Log
Book and Pencil,Geocoin "S&K'S Krazy coin III" when first
placed.

2 PPCLI (2VP) was formed on 15 August
1950 for service in the Korean War. After a brief period of
training, the new battalion joined the 27 British Commonwealth
Infantry Brigade in Korea. The unit's most significant action was
fought near the village of Kapyong (Hill677) between 24-25 April
1951. 2 PPCLI, with Australian and American units, held back a
major Chinese offensive that had pushed through the UN lines and
was heading for Seoul. The 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia`s
Canadian Light Infantry, has a unique distinction. This battalion
received the Distinguished Unit Citation from the President of the
United States to recognize its stand near Kapyong, Korea, in April
1951. Equating to a battle honor, the Citation is represented by a
streamer four feet in length and two and three-quarter inches in
width, bearing the name of the action, attached to the pike of the
regimental Colour. The use of this streamer in accordance with
American practice was authorized by King George VI. In addition to
the streamer, the Presidential Citation is also worn on the
uniform. It is a small royal blue bar with gold trim. Although
battle honours are awarded on a regimental basis, and the whole of
the PPCLI carries Kapyong on its colours, the distinction of
bearing this streamer belongs to 2 PPCLI alone, and is carried on
the battalions regimental colour. During the period 1992-93, the
Battalion contributed soldiers to Operation HARMONY, the United
Nations Protection Force in Croatia, initially with 3 PPCLI, and
then as a complete unit. 2 PPCLI was awarded the Force Commander’s
Unit Commendation and the Commander-in-Chief’s Unit Commendation
for their actions under hostile fire in September 1993 near the
village of Medak, Croatia. In 2004, 2 PPCLI bade farewell to the
City of Winnipeg after 34 years and moved to a new facility at
Canadian Forces Base Shilo, near Brandon, Manitoba.
