Campsite of Willie Boy. According to history he camped "near the rock corral" nearby. You will see this historic corral driving to cache. Willie Boy died during the manhunt about 4-5 miles from this his last campsite.
If you are on your way to see the Willie Boy grave cache (GC4351) you might want to hit this one before. Being chased, Willie Boy camped overnight here before heading up the canyon to his final stand at Ruby Mountain. See the attached website link for further info. Two other caches are nearby this one as well. Be sure to hit "BlackEgan" which is at the circa 1870 Rock Corral and "Desert Samurai" which lurks up an adjoining canyon. You will see a water tank which is fed by a spring about 1 mile up the canyon. Often there are people shooting guns here so you may want to hit other nearby caches until they leave. Across from water tank you can see a faint outline of a silhouette painting on a rock of "Willie Boy". This Manhunt happened in 1909. After Willie Boy moved up the canyon the posse also came through and camped here as it was a well known spot for the only water for miles. Have Fun!!
