Geocache Description:

This cache is our first one we have hidden and is located on Deer Lake. It is in an ammo box and includes a FTF prize.

Deer Lake is a small lake that was formed by damming the headwaters of Ogdonia Creek. The remains of what was probably a logging camp and cabins surround the lake. Bring your fishing poles and bunches of worms as the sunfish are plentiful and easy to catch. Our children love fishing here. Fishing is only permitted by the shoreline and NOT by boat. This cache does require a short hike (area cache is hidden in is visible from lake), but it's mostly level except for crossing the dam. I gave it a higher terrain rating because of the dam, but my kiddos have crossed it many of times without problem. There is plenty of parking around the lake. Cache contains logbook and pen.
Congrats to point2me for the FTF!!!!!
